Organizational Overview
- Tavi & Friends is a small, all volunteer, is a 501(c)(3) charity foster-based organization, committed to helping homeless cats with unique challenges.
- We achieve this through community outreach, partnership and teamwork. Specially trained volunteers provide additional therapies, such as TTouch, Reiki, and other holistic therapies.
- Every animal receives lifetime medical care and 'room-and-board' for life.

"SPECIAL CARE ANIMALS"
"Old, won't play anymore, sick, disabled, getting grouchy ...."These labels are sometimes heaped on older and special needs pets unfairly. They get cranky just like we do when we don't feel well. After a lifetime of loyalty and love, they deserve our compassion and care. More than ever, they need our love and care. Caring for an older, sick, or disabled pet can be as rewarding and comforting for us as it is to them.
We understand it can be difficult. These are beloved pets who have given their lives to love, comfort and often protect us; now it's our turn. But people with elderly and/or special-care animals often need assistance in finding ways of coping, whether through education, counseling, holistic care, or other alternatives. They don't understand; they have feelings of abandonment, confusion, and may just give up. Please consider all options before giving up on your companion pet.
Please note: Tavi's special-care animals are not “adoptable,” but are in permanent foster homes for life. We are not intaking additional animals at this time.
